Large businesses that consider helping those in need to be part of their mission do not turn their backs on the consequences of large-scale disasters. SOFTSWISS, a product Tech Company SOFTSWISS that has two development centres in Poland located in Poznan and Warsaw, belongs to that kind of business and takes an active part in charity projects.
The world’s leading software developer shared the amount it donates on helping victims of numerous devastating events around the world. Last year alone, SOFTSWISS allocated a total of 1,700,000 EUR for this purpose. The headquarters in Poland note that the company will continue to extend a helping hand to those who need it.
Here at SOFTSWISS, charity plays a substantial role. The company’s founders are not very keen to discuss it in public, as they believe that the desire to help others is common. However, when we learn about this or that kind of assistance provided by the company to those facing the most difficult times in their lives, we feel very proud of and strongly connected with the company and its values, – says Yulia Oncheva, SOFTSWISS’ Chief HR Officer.
One of the company’s most recent charitable initiatives related to the consequences of the powerful earthquakes in Turkey, which happened in March and claimed the lives of more than 50,000 people. In those days, about a million of the country’s residents were left homeless, lost their personal belongings, and could barely secure access to essential supplies.
When we were in the disaster zone, we saw cities and towns lay in ruins. We were in dismay. We contacted the victims of the earthquake to find out what they need most and how we can help, – shared Nurullah Yildiz, SOFTSWISS’ representative, after visiting the area affected by the disaster.
To support Turkey in overcoming the consequences of the earthquake, SOFTSWISS allocated 25,000 USD for the procurement of container houses for those who lost their homes because of the rampant disaster. Furthermore, families raising children with disabilities and those who lost their relatives received financial support that enabled them to buy food and clean drinking water.
What happened in Turkey is terrible. Things like this should not happen to anyone. But life shows that no one is immune from trouble. Therefore, we will always be there to help those who need it, – commented the founder of SOFTSWISS, Ivan Montik.
