Role overview

The ability for SOFTSWISS to continue to operate a fast and effective service is underpinned by the scale and performance of the technology products. We are building a new tier for leadership with the technical team. Reporting to the CTO, the Deputy CTO will define, grow and lead multiple development teams across several products and projects; design and develop technical project strategies, policies, processes and procedures; ensure product deployment and operations excellence; grow technical expertise and capabilities with the new technology products and services. To be successful in the role and thrive at SOFTSWISS, you must display pragmatism and situational awareness, an iterative approach to products and the organization, and an ability to deal with an unstructured and ambiguous environment, and simply be someone who gets things done.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and coach multiple software development teams with numerous direct reports
  • Oversee the teams from financial, delivery and sourcing perspectives
  • Define roadmaps, plans, estimates and risk management strategies for the teams
  • Guide the teams to deliver with the appropriate agile management and engineering excellence best practices
  • Implement and manage a planning cycle with clear progress reporting, tracking of deliverables, issue and risk management, effective resource allocation
  • Ensure robust delivery governance is implemented at the product level
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships and expectations to ensure successful delivery
  • Investigate and resolve complex cross-team and cross-product issues
  • Establish people management practices for proper hiring, efficient onboarding and retention, constant growth of expertise
  • Setup a process to recognize, evaluate and integrate technology platforms, tools and services of high value for your teams

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of technical delivery experience in senior roles
  • Proven experience of managing delivery of an organization of 40+ FTE
  • Proven track record in successful delivery of complex, high business impact software products and/or programs
  • Strong people management skills, proven track record bringing diverse people together and fostering a sense of team and purpose
  • In-depths knowledge and understanding of delivery management and agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills, extensive experience working with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural distributed teams
  • Ability to combine business knowledge, technology expertise, and modern delivery practices to achieve ambitions outcomes for business
  • Experience in senior/c-level technical leadership roles
  • Advanced English skills
