Overview:
SOFTSWISS is hiring a Middle Business Analyst to join our team and help transform business needs into clear, structured, and data-driven requirements for product and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements
- Prepare and maintain non-functional requirements
- Define and document backend requirements, including system behavior and constraints
- Work with data-driven requirements, including data sources, metrics, KPIs, and calculation formulas
- Ensure correct understanding of data organization, data flow, and data lineage
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, QA, Data, and Analytics teams
- Support requirements clarification throughout the development lifecycle
- Participate in solution design discussions and ensure alignment with business goals
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT or product teams
- Strong experience in documenting non-functional requirements
- Experience working with backend-related requirements
- Experience with data-based requirements, including: data sources metrics and KPIs calculation logic and formulas
- Basic SQL skills (ability to write simple queries for data validation and analysis)
- Understanding of data organization principles and data lineage
- English level B2+, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Understanding of data transfer methods (e.g. REST API, integrations)
- Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, Apache Superset, or similar platforms
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Basic understanding of system architecture and data platforms
