Overview
SOFTSWISS is looking for DevSecOps Engineer to integrate and maintain security capabilities throughout our software-delivery pipeline.
Purpose of the role
You will partner with other engineers to automate security controls, strengthen overall security software development lifecycle, and enhance internal security tooling written in modern scripting and programming languages.
Key responsibilities
- Automation & Tooling: Automate security workflows and monitoring tasks; troubleshoot and maintain existing security tooling and integrations
- Development: Contribute to the development of Python-based security applications and scripts
- Image Integrity: Assist with image signing tasks and frameworks to ensure the security of our containerized environments
- Collaboration & Support: Partner with developers and operations teams to enforce approved security workflows and provide guidance to other junior staff across the engineering team.
Required Experience
- 1+ years of experience in DevSecOps, security engineering, or related roles
- Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)
- CI/CD Security: Experience embedding application and infrastructure security controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Image Security: Familiarity with image signing processes and frameworks and their implementation
- Mindset: A teamwork-oriented mindset and an eagerness to learn new security practices and tools.
Nice to have
- Hands-on security work across Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows
- Familiarity with container, dependency, and secret-scanning concepts and tools.
