Overview:
SOFTSWISS is hiring a Legal Specialist to join our Legal and Compliance Team. We are seeking an inquisitive and detail-oriented specialist who can work independently, communicate clearly, and support the company in meeting legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
Purpose of the role:
You will support the Legal and Compliance Team in a wide range of legal and regulatory tasks, including legal research, contract and document management, licensing support, policy drafting, partner due diligence, regulatory audits, and communication with external advisors and authorities.
Key responsibilities:
- Research & Legal Advice:
- Conduct in-depth research to interpret various laws, rules, and regulations.
- Assist internal teams and stakeholders in understanding specific legal provisions to effectively address business issues.
- Contract & Document Lifecycle Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts while managing the entire lifecycle of corporate agreements and maintaining up-to-date legal documentation.
- External Collaboration:
- Act as a point of contact and collaborate efficiently with external advisors, regulatory authorities, and local councils.
- Licensing & Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist with regulatory compliance by compiling necessary document packages for new license applications and helping to maintain existing licenses.
- Policy & Process Optimization:
- Draft internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to streamline legal workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner Due Diligence:
- Conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) and Due Diligence (DD) checks on potential business partners to mitigate corporate risk.
- Regulatory Audits:
- Participate actively in regulatory audits, collaborating closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ad-Hoc Support:
- Provide flexible administrative and legal support on different tasks and ad-hoc projects as required.
Required Experience:
- Education:
- BSc/BA degree in Law.
- Industry Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience working within a software development company, with a strong preference for the iGaming industry.
- Hands-on expertise in licensing and/or audit processes and contract negotiation.
- Languages:
- Excellent written and verbal command of English.
- Knowledge of Russian is a plus.
- Work Style:
- Ability to multi-task and support multiple individuals within a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to notice details and patterns that might have an impact on the company’s liabilities.
