In October, SOFTSWISS, an international tech brand with partner development centres in Warsaw and Poznań, organised an internal IT Hackathon. With guidance from mentors and masterclasses, employees competed for 44 hours for a total prize pool of €20,000.
Participants could choose from six cases across different domains or submit their own ideas. The cases were divided into three challenge topics – AI, product development, and business solutions. Seven C-level managers joined the event as mentors, helping participants find effective solutions. A prize pool of €20,000 was shared among the top five teams, with first place awarded to the creators of a unique tool designed to boost player engagement.
While the offline event was hosted at the Poznań development centre, participants could also join online from around the world. To ensure equal participation for colleagues from different regions, the company arranged accommodation support, allowing many to join the IT Hackathon on-site in Poznań.
Guided by the SOFTSWISS IT Hackathon concept ‘Code Hard, Get Loud’, the event combined intense coding with entertainment. Coffee and food zones, along with dedicated relaxation areas, were available for participants. They could also unwind in game zones featuring darts, table football, and table tennis. A special coffee rock rave, featuring live guitars and rock vibes, took place the morning of the second day to inspire participants and fuel their winning mindset.
SOFTSWISS values opportunities to support its employees, strengthen their motivation, and unite them around common goals.
