Looking for new job opportunities can be exciting, but it’s usually also stressful. Applying for a role is more than just sending a CV. It’s a significant personal decision, often made during a time of change. Whether you’re actively searching or just exploring what’s out there, it is natural to have questions or feel some uncertainty along the way.
At SOFTSWISS, we don’t take that lightly. One of our core values is We See People – and that means recognising the real emotions, motivations, and expectations behind every application.
This guide will explain what to expect at each step of the hiring journey, from submitting your CV to receiving an offer (and everything in between). Our goal is to give you a clear picture of the process so you feel informed, confident, and ready at every stage.
SOFTSWISS’ Hiring Process: Step by Step
SOFTSWISS is growing fast, and various roles across different teams come with that growth. While each team may tailor its hiring process, you can expect a structured, thoughtful, and candidate-friendly experience.
Some of the steps you can find below may vary depending on the role or seniority level. But CV review, recruiter call, and core interviews are always part of the journey. Let’s walk through the structure of the process:
Application Review
Once you apply, your CV goes directly into our applicant tracking system, where it’s carefully reviewed by one of our Talent Acquisition Partners. If there’s a fit, we move forward. If not, you’ll still hear back from us. We also keep an eye out for alternative roles that might suit your experience better and may reach out with other opportunities.
Recruiter Call
It’s usually a short introductory conversation where we get to know each other better, explain the role and team structure, and answer any initial questions you may have.
Main Interview(s)
This is where we dive deeper:
- For tech roles, this may include technical discussions, problem-solving, or system design with engineers or team leads.
- For business roles, it’s often a conversation with the hiring manager focused on your experience, working style, and expectations.
Each team or department has the flexibility to shape its own interview process, which means the number and structure of interviews can vary. We do our best to keep the process short and focused.
Test Task (if applicable)
Some roles may include a practical task, such as a coding challenge, business case, or strategic scenario. We always provide clear instructions and context with full respect for your time. In some cases, we ask candidates to complete the task before the main interview stage.
Final Sync / Team Meeting
You may meet additional teammates (tech roles) or stakeholders (business roles) for a final alignment – a chance for both sides to confirm cultural and professional fit.
Offer & Onboarding
If it’s a match, we’ll send you a formal offer. From there, our Talent Development team will guide you through onboarding, making sure you feel confident, connected, and supported from day one.
Now you know what steps to expect during your hiring journey with SOFTSWISS. Let’s see how to prepare before hitting the ‘Apply’ button.
Strong CV: What We Look For at SOFTSWISS
Crafting the ‘perfect CV’ can feel overwhelming – we’ve all been there. There are plenty of online guides and templates, but how do you know what this hiring team is looking for?
We want to be clear about what makes a CV stand out in the eyes of our hiring specialists, based on patterns we see every day. Below are a few key tips to help you highlight your strengths and make your experience easier to read and access:
- Keep it short – 1-2 pages with only what’s relevant to the role.
- Make it easy to scan – Use clear headings, bullet points, and simple formatting. Avoid ornate fonts or unconventional styling that distracts from content.
- Start strong – Add a short summary at the top: who you are, what you do, what you’re looking for.
- Lead with experience – Focus on recent roles and real achievements. Put education last (unless it’s your strongest asset).
- Show relevant skills – Highlight the tools, tech, and soft skills that match the job.
Pro Tip: A well-structured CV template makes the application process more focused and less time-consuming. Treat it as a working document containing your full work history, key achievements, tools and skills, certifications, and a general profile summary. Keeping it in an editable format such as Google Docs or Word makes it easier to maintain – and when submitting, we recommend exporting it as a PDF or attaching it as a DOC/DOCX file, in line with the formats we support.
When a role feels like an intense match, minor adjustments help surface the most relevant details. That might include reordering roles, highlighting tools mentioned in the job description, or updating the summary to reflect how your background aligns with the team or product.
Not every project needs to be included each time. If a past role combined operations and client work, but the new role focuses on stakeholder communication, that’s what to emphasise. If you lack direct experience but covered the topic in depth through a course or thesis, move that education higher to support your case.
The structure stays consistent – dates, companies, responsibilities – but what’s emphasised shifts depending on the role. This simple practice improves clarity and helps your CV land more precisely, whether applying at SOFTSWISS or elsewhere.
Once you’ve submitted your CV, the next step is often an interview. To help you prepare, we’ve put together some tips on how to make the most of your interview experience.
How to Prepare for Interviews
Interviews at SOFTSWISS are designed to be meaningful two-way conversations, not one-sided tests. Whether you’re coming from the iGaming space or a broader tech background, preparation helps you show your best.
Start by exploring the iGaming industry. Understand its dynamic pace, regulatory context, and intense focus on innovation and end-user experience. Familiarity with how tech drives product success is a big plus.
A great starting point is our Knowledge Base, where you can find answers to questions such as “What is iGaming?” We also recommend taking time to get to know SOFTSWISS as a company. Visit our About Us page to learn how we grew from an IT outsourcing startup to a global tech brand. It’s also a great idea to quickly scan our products. Understanding what and who we build it for will give you better context during interviews and help you connect your experience to what we do.
At SOFTSWISS, our values aren’t just trendy slogans – they shape how we build products, work as a team, and hire. As a leading B2B tech company, we hold ourselves to high standards of quality and integrity. We’re not only looking for skills – we’re looking for people who share our mindset:
- We care about quality, people, and the bigger picture.
- We see people and celebrate diversity, empathy, and genuine collaboration.
- We embrace chances and take initiative in a fast-changing space.
- We excel with a passion for high standards and continuous improvement.
- We push for customer success because our clients’ wins = our wins.
During the interview, we are interested in how you approach problems, communicate ideas, and reflect on your experience. Real examples help us understand your thinking.
We genuinely welcome questions anytime, during interviews or afterwards, through your recruiter. Whether it is about the role, the team, product goals, expectations, or something else that matters to you, asking is always encouraged.
While the team is learning more about you, you are also figuring out whether this feels like the right place for your skills, mindset, and plans. Good questions help both sides see more clearly – and often open up the best conversations.
What Happens After You Get an Offer
Once we’ve aligned on all fronts – skills, goals, and values – and you receive an offer from SOFTSWISS, our journey together will take off. Before your first day, we’ll guide you through the pre-onboarding stage, helping you prepare the necessary documents and answering any questions to ensure everything is clear and in place.
Your Day 1 usually includes signing official documents, getting access to internal systems and tools, and starting to explore our company culture, values, and benefits through our onboarding platform.
During your first week, you’ll meet the people who will support you from the start: your manager, your team, your buddy, and your HR Business Partner (HRBP). You’ll also begin setting your initial goals and learning how your team works day to day.
While onboarding details may vary depending on your role and department, some things remain the same: we want you to feel instructed, supported, and part of SOFTSWISS from the very beginning.
