For the second consecutive year, SOFTSWISS has proudly joined the global Movember initiative, a movement dedicated to raising awareness about men’s health issues. This year’s campaign under the powerful slogan “Talk It Out! Act It Out!” encourages open discussions about mental health and fosters a culture of mutual support among employees.
In a heartfelt show of solidarity, the male members of SOFTSWISS’ team – including colleagues from Poland – actively participated in the traditional Movember challenge of growing moustaches and beards throughout November. This visible gesture helps shine a spotlight on the critical issues of men’s mental and physical health, including cancer and other severe conditions.
Holistic Approach to Well-Being
This Movember, SOFTSWISS broadened the focus beyond physical health to highlight the importance of psychological and emotional well-being. Throughout November, the company offered an anonymous channel for communication with a psychologist, established in collaboration with an online mental health platform. Male employees had access to virtual consultations and practical advice for managing stress, combating depression, and addressing other mental health challenges.
One of the campaign’s standout features was a series of random short online meetings among SOFTSWISS employees. These gatherings provided a space for discussing men’s health topics in a relaxed, peer-to-peer environment. Internal events and a robust social media awareness campaign, supported by employee ambassadors, further amplified Movember’s message across the organisation.
Leadership Insights on Movember at SOFTSWISS
“Without good health, we cannot thrive in life or business. In our busy lives, it’s too easy to overlook our well-being,” said Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS. “At SOFTSWISS, we wholeheartedly embrace the ‘WE CARE’ value – not only in our work but also in caring for ourselves and each other. This Movember, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on what truly matters. Prioritising self-care is essential for building a successful future.”
Maciej Wieczorek, Regional Director of SOFTSWISS in Poland, added: “During Movember, we remind everyone at SOFTSWISS: ‘Talk It Out! Act It Out!’ – speak openly about your health and take proactive steps to preserve it. As a tech company, we know the importance of maintaining well-functioning systems, and it’s just as vital to listen to ourselves. Don’t hesitate to discuss your well-being with colleagues and loved ones. At SOFTSWISS, we strive to create a workplace culture where openness and self-care are integral values. Campaigns like Movember bring us closer together and remind us to support one another.”
Tradition of Supporting Global Health Initiatives
SOFTSWISS has built a tradition of supporting health-focused initiatives. Although its offices span the globe, Poland remains a priority for growth and innovation, with special attention given to its local development centres. In October, SOFTSWISS participated in Pink October, a global campaign against breast cancer, and supported the Polish charity run “Zawsze Pier(w)si” to promote breast cancer prevention.
During last year’s Movember campaign, SOFTSWISS employees participated in the growing beard and moustache challenge and health-focused conversations with doctors. Additionally, they competed in a step challenge, walking and running over 12,000 kilometres – equivalent to two round trips between New York and London.
This year’s Movember continues SOFTSWISS’ commitment to fostering awareness, health, and connection within its global team.
