– How did your journey with SOFTSWISS begin, and what motivated you to join the company?
– It started with a bit of insider knowledge – friends in the know about SOFTSWISS. Despite the company flying somewhat under the radar back then, the buzz among my peers was undeniable. With a bit of curiosity and a dash of daring, I decided to throw my hat in the ring after a prolonged job search post my previous gig.
At that time, the company was on the lookout for support agents, and I thought, why not? I sent in my CV, went through the interview hoops, and voilà, here I am, part of the SOFTSWISS team.
– What challenges did you face in the early days, and how did you overcome them?
– Ah, the early days were like navigating a high-speed obstacle course! Loads of information to digest, a rapid-fire learning curve, an endless dance between various tasks and dialogues, and the shift schedule, with its rollercoaster ride between night and day shifts.
Now, the secret weapon in overcoming it all? SOFTSWISS has this magical knack for building awesome teams where everyone’s got your back, spreading good vibes all around. No drama, just a chill, friendly vibe. Overcoming challenges felt like a team win, and SOFTSWISS made it all happen.
– What has the experience been like working with the company since 2018?
– It’s been an exhilarating journey to witness the company’s growth, evolving from a team of three hundred to a powerhouse of over two thousand. Back then, envisioning offices scattered across multiple countries and a global workforce seemed like a distant possibility. Yet, here we are, working collaboratively around the world.
– How has the rapid growth of the company influenced your professional journey and opportunities?
– The swift expansion has been a catalyst for numerous opportunities. The surge in growth translates to a plethora of new roles, each presenting a chance for professional advancement. Beginning as a support agent, I swiftly progressed to a shift supervisor within a year and a half. Six months later, I found myself joining the Anti-Fraud team. This dynamic team constantly expands, offering continuous learning and opening doors to new responsibilities.
Our team has experienced exponential growth, more than doubling in 2022, solidifying our crucial role in the company’s infrastructure.
In collaboration with the Research and Development team, we tirelessly work on developing cutting-edge fraud-detection tools, embracing technologies like neural networks and machine learning. Our focus is on being proactive and forward-thinking in our approach to work.
– What motivated you to join the Anti-Fraud team, and how has it aligned with your interests?
– My curiosity about the anti-fraud field was piqued during my tenure in support. It presented a new and intriguing path, allowing me to delve into something different. Uncovering and thwarting scammers was not only fascinating but also a fresh challenge where I could apply my skills.
Investigating player behaviour, identifying patterns, and searching for evidence brought an element of excitement, especially given my passion for video games. They say find a job you love, and you’ll be a happy person, and that is precisely what happened to me. Combining my love for video games with my profession in the fight against fraud has proven to be a winning combination.
Being in a constant battle with fraudsters, implementing new strategies, and witnessing their schemes crumble seconds later is immensely rewarding. Putting a halt to fraud not only saves the company millions but also shields thousands of consumers from falling victim. It is a profession where the impact of your efforts is tangible and immediate.
– How would you describe the role of an Anti-Fraud team member, and which superhero would you compare them to?
Working in the Anti-Fraud Support, a part of SOFTSWISS Managed Services, is akin to being a superhero in the iGaming world. It involves collaborating with a fantastic team of professionals who are passionate about their work.
The Anti-Fraud team doesn’t just combat fraud; it also addresses responsible gambling and handles player complaints. If likened to a superhero, we would be the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, tackling not only thieves and robbers but also saving people from burning houses and assisting grandmothers across the street.
– How do you approach managing tasks and workload for your team?
– Maintaining a dynamic and engaging work environment is key. To avoid individuals getting bogged down by the same tasks daily, we implement a weekly rotation system. This way, our team members tackle a variety of challenges, preventing monotony and keeping their enthusiasm alive.
Beyond routine assignments, we actively encourage the pursuit of personal tasks – whether it’s discovering new opportunities, innovating existing tools, or refining internal documentation and policies.
– As a team leader, how do you foster the development and expertise expansion of your team members?
– We consistently seek out specialised courses and training sessions to keep our team well-versed in current regulations and the global landscape. This ensures not only compliance but also a continuous enhancement of our collective expertise.
– They say what doesn’t break us makes us stronger. What fuels your inspiration, and what challenges are you currently navigating in your role?
– The people around me are my greatest inspiration. Our team is exceptional – responsive and reliable. The diversity within our multinational company adds richness to our experiences. Working with individuals of varied perspectives, cultures, and languages, each with their unique life and professional journey, is invigorating. Despite being scattered across different countries, our common goal unites us, making collaboration a pleasure and a source of continuous learning.
