SOFTSWISS has started a multi-phase charity initiative to help those hit hardest by Brazil’s worst flood on record. The project provides immediate relief to the affected areas and aims for long-term recovery. It encourages other industry players to join in these efforts.
A massive flood struck Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil in late April, leaving many cities underwater. Experts believe the water will not recede quickly. The situation worsens each day, with growing needs for food, water, and warm clothing as the weather continues to decline. The government and people, including businesses and individuals, are all doing their part to help.
With this campaign, SOFTSWISS is calling on the iGaming community to support the region’s relief and recovery efforts.
“Recognising Brazil as a key market, SOFTSWISS has dedicated significant efforts to establish a strong presence here. We aim to be a reliable partner to the Brazilian people and help the local industry grow. We now have employees in the region, and in light of the country’s recent hardships, standing aside is not an option. We are committed to supporting the people of Brazil during this difficult time. We are providing emergency financial assistance, partnering with organisations that can swiftly deliver food, clothing, and water to those impacted by the flood. Additionally, we are developing a long-term initiative to install water purification equipment in schools in the affected regions,” said Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS.
SOFTSWISS is actively providing direct aid to address the severe impact of the flood in Brazil. The company has allocated resources for essential supplies like food and gas, which will be distributed through Movimento União BR, a local charity.
Additionally, SOFTSWISS is committed to the region’s long-term recovery. The company is investing in sustainable solutions by funding the installation of water purification systems in schools across Rio Grande do Sul with PWTECH. This initiative ensures ongoing access to clean drinking water for current and future generations.
SOFTSWISS is also engaging the global iGaming community to support these efforts. The company offers crucial informational support alongside financial contributions and collaborates with influential figures like Rubens Barrichello, its Non-Executive Director in Latin America. Together, they work with Movimento União BR, which started in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic and has since supported over 26 million people and 4,000 NGOs.
Furthermore, SOFTSWISS encourages additional support through an official government channel in Rio Grande do Sul, ensuring that donations effectively aid those in need.
“I am very glad the SOFTSWISS team I joined is committed to supporting Brazilians in this difficult situation. Having launched many charity initiatives with the Barrichello Family Institute, I am grateful that, together with SOFTSWISS, we also have the opportunity to help those who need our support now,” commented Rubens Barrichello, SOFTSWISS Non-Executive Director in Latin America.
By joining the SOFTSWISS charity initiative and partnering with verified organisations, the iGaming community can be esure their contributions reach those affected by the flood in Brazil.
