Embarking on a captivating journey, the renowned international IT company, SOFTSWISS, has brought its summer project, ‘Intelligent City Walks‘, to the vibrant cities of Poznań and Gdańsk in Poland. This initiative, launched in June, aims to foster a sense of belonging and cultural integration for its employees and other IT professionals residing and working in Poland.
The project’s inaugural walks unfolded in the picturesque capital of Warsaw. Over the course of three Sundays, 150 IT experts from various international companies traversed the city’s iconic landmarks. From the modern business hub with towering skyscrapers, where the SOFTSWISS office is situated, to the charming Old Town and the historic Royal Łazienki garden and park complex – the participants immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of Polish history and culture.
The local IT community showed immense interest in these joint excursions, prompting requests for similar events in other major Polish cities. Responding to this enthusiastic demand, the project expanded its reach to Poznań, where SOFTSWISS has been operating a successful development centre for several years. Participants delved into the city’s captivating history, uncovering its secrets and legends – from the ancient Piast dynasty to the contemporary era. And the exploration continues! In July, the ‘Intelligent Walks’ venture heads to Gdańsk, followed by Kraków and Wrocław in August, where IT specialists will unravel the stories behind these iconic cities.
SOFTSWISS places great significance on this excursion project, recognising its dual purpose. On one hand, it fosters camaraderie among employees and colleagues from various international IT teams, acquainting them with the history and cultural nuances of Polish cities while easing their adaptation process. On the other hand, it demonstrates respect for the places that have become their new home.
Preliminary results already indicate that more than 500 IT professionals will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local environment, thanks to the knowledge gained and friendly interactions organised by SOFTSWISS. The time spent with guides on these walks will accumulate to provide nearly a day of continuous, fascinating insights into Poland’s history and culture.
