Masurian Lakes, Poland, 23-29 August 2024 – As the summer draws close, parents often hope to hear their children say, “This was the best summer ever!” SOFTSWISS made this a reality for 65 children from the SOFTSWISS GROUP of companies who joined their week-long summer camp in Poland this August. The initiative is part of SOFTSWISS’ commitment to keeping kids adventurous, active, engaged, and healthy. The camp offered a unique blend of fun activities and opportunities to explore the outdoors, forge new friendships, discover new passions, and foster a love for the environment – creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Summer is the perfect time for kids to get outside and explore, and the SOFTSWISS KIDS CAMP was a wonderful opportunity for them to keep their minds and bodies active. This year, SOFTSWISS expanded its program to ensure that all children in the SOFTSWISS community could experience the joys of camp. The camp’s focus on environmental awareness, social skills development, and fun-filled activities set the stage for a truly enriching experience.
Parent Testimonials
“Honestly, the kids had an amazing time at camp. They made new friends, got close to their counsellors, and still chatted with each other on Telegram. They have even met up with some of their new camp friends for birthday parties! Toward the end of the camp, they all said they wished they could stay longer. It was great that they organised transportation, which made everything so much easier,” said Raman Melnikau, Manual Quality Assurance Specialist at SOFTSWISS and father of three camp participants.
Mindodi Berulava, Accountant at SOFTSWISS, brought his child all the way from Georgia to Poland for the camp. He highlighted five key reasons why it was a valuable experience for his son:
- New Experiences – “We sent our son to camp to immerse him in a new environment and give him fresh experiences.”
- Trust in the Organisers – “We were initially hesitant, given the different country and language barrier, but SOFTSWISS’ excellent track record in event organisation assured us. They even easily managed the language issue as kids quickly found common ground in the multicultural setting.”
- Environmental Awareness – “The camp focused on environmental education, teaching kids about global issues such as water shortages. The children proposed creative solutions to these pressing problems through hackathons, nurturing a sense of responsibility and care for the planet.”
- Social Skills and New Friendships – “The SOFTSWISS KIDS CAMP helped my child develop social skills and build lasting friendships.”
- Photographs and Lasting Memories – “The professional photographs ensured that they captured the bright moments of the camp, creating lasting memories for both children and parents.”
Despite the camp’s tight schedule, the children bonded quickly. “The team worked wonders in such a short time,” said one parent, grateful for the effort put in by the staff to create such a successful experience.
“If SOFTSWISS was previously known for its large-scale corporate events, it will now be renowned for its fantastic kids’ camps. This was the first time we organised such an initiative specifically for our employees’ children, as ‘WE CARE’ about the well-being of every team member. And believe me, this is just the beginning. The positive feedback from our employees has truly inspired us, and we are already exploring new ideas, aiming to create an even more engaging and memorable experience for our people and their kids,” said Hanna Sauchuk, Event Manager at SOFTSWISS.
Exciting Activities for Young Campers
The week at the SOFTSWISS KIDS CAMP was packed with exciting activities. The children took part in a grand opening ceremony, participated in custom-made scavenger hunts, and joined environmental hackathons, where they came up with creative solutions to global challenges. One of the standout moments was the design of 50 T-shirts by the kids, which will be sent to schools in Brazil as a symbol of support and unity.
The children also participated in speaking clubs, drama workshops, cooking classes, video production sessions, and even kite-making, and science experiments. Energetic talent shows, dance battles, and obstacle course competitions filled their days with excitement and left everyone with cherished memories.
Parents were thrilled with the results. “My child is hard to impress, but the SOFTSWISS KIDS CAMP managed to do it! The kids bonded so well that they created their own chat group and plan to visit each other in Berlin and Poznań. The fact that my child did not call home or ask to leave proves that the camp passed their personal test!” said Katsiaryna Shved, Employer Brand Event Manager at SOFTSWISS.
As SOFTSWISS looks toward the future, it is clear that both children and parents are eagerly awaiting the next camp, ready for another adventure and unforgettable memories.
