The outcomes of the largest European conference for women working in technology, Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit, are being summarised in the Polish capital. For the first time, SOFTSWISS, an international IT company with offices in Poznań and Warsaw, was part of this large-scale global event, showcasing their presence.
At Women in Tech, influential female leaders of the modern world, who have achieved success in the field of technology and IT, come together to share their stories, experiences, professional and scientific achievements, forward-thinking visions of the technological future, and insights into the role of women within it.
Workshop on Career Advancement
Among the influential female leaders was Natalia Perkowska, Co-Chief HR Officer at SOFTSWISS, who delivered a workshop on career advancement for female leaders. The discussion around female leadership in the world of technology and IT is actively prominent in society, and it resonates deeply with the world’s leading software developers. SOFTSWISS emphasises that, in terms of gender equality, their team composition stands out from others in the field of iGaming — with more than 1,400 employees , the gender ratio is about 50 to 50. Moreover, women hold positions not only in service divisions but also in technical and managerial roles.
The workshop was completely full, which made it the most popular session in terms of attendance. To meet the high demand, Natalia had to expand the list of listeners several times.
“It was very important for our company to participate in such a large-scale event, to support women in leadership positions in the technology field, and to discuss the opportunities that SOFTSWISS offers to its female employees,” shared Natalia Perkowska.
“During my workshop, I discussed the path to female leadership, the challenges women face, and the importance of self-confidence. I emphasised the significance of setting achievable career goals that align with personal values. The meeting was a tremendous success! I was truly amazed by the motivation and eagerness to grow that I felt from each participant in the hall. This is evidence that women today, more than ever, are interested in the topics of leadership and professional development,” stated Natalia.
The magnitude of the Women in Tech summit serves as a compelling validation of Natalia’s remarks. This year’s summit for women drew a staggering 11,200 participants, with 9,500 attending in-person at the EXPO XXI exhibition centre in Warsaw. The comprehensive two-day agenda featured presentations from 500 speakers and included 56 master classes covering technology, career development, and social skills.
Job Fair and Mentorship Zone
Furthermore, representatives from SOFTSWISS actively engaged in meetings and discussions at the event. Natalia Melnikova, Business Analysts Team Lead, delivered a talk on team management, while Margarita Komolova, Head of QA Department, discussed initiating a career in quality assurance. This field within IT companies focuses on enhancing the software development process and identifying operational flaws.
Another noteworthy aspect of the Women in Tech summit was the job fair, where professionals from innovative companies showcased job opportunities, reviewed CVs, and provided recommendations. Additionally, a mentoring zone was designated for individuals seeking guidance on their career concerns. Esteemed leaders in their respective fields conducted one-on-one sessions, sharing personal career stories, and assisting other women in making informed decisions about their professional paths.
