SOFTSWISS, an international tech product company, has embarked on an exciting venture in the heart of Poland’s capital – Warsaw 360°: Intelligent City Walks with SOFTSWISS. This unique series of interactive tours around the city aims to assist IT professionals who have recently relocated, ensuring their smooth transition to the new environment.
The inspiration to introduce their employees to the city first came to the SOFTSWISS team after the establishment of their second development centre in Poland. With a successful track record in Poznań for several years, the renowned software developer expanded its presence in the vibrant Polish IT market by opening a prestigious office in Warsaw’s modern business district this spring.
However, the city proved to be unfamiliar territory for many employees, as well as numerous specialists from other IT companies worldwide who had chosen Warsaw as their teams’ working hub. To address this, SOFTSWISS decided to organise a series of captivating tours to showcase the most fascinating and beautiful aspects of the Polish capital. The goal was to help everyone gain a better understanding of the city and feel at home in their new surroundings. In June, the local IT community was invited to participate in these interactive guided walks.
The response was overwhelming, with the first Sunday excursion fully booked within a few hours of its announcement. This inaugural tour focused on exploring the new infrastructure of Warsaw’s business centre. Participants learned about the tallest building in Poland, Warsaw Spire, discovered the Museum of Modern Art currently under construction, and explored the IT hub of the Polish capital, where the state-of-the-art SOFTSWISS office is situated. Of course, they made a point to visit the iconic skyscrapers that have become an integral part of the city’s landscape.
“Our company’s employees come from all corners of the globe, enjoying the freedom to move between countries and select a comfortable place to work. On one hand, relocation offers the opportunity to see the world and experience new cultures, but on the other hand, it can be a bit stressful. It takes time to adapt and make a new city feel like home. When we establish an international office in a different country, it’s important for us to introduce our employees and their families to the city’s history and cultural uniqueness. It’s a fundamental gesture of respect towards the place that has become our specialists’ home,” explains Valentina Bagniya, Chief Marketing Officer at SOFTSWISS.
In June, two additional excursions are planned as part of the Warsaw 360°: Intelligent City Walks with SOFTSWISS initiative. One will delve into the history and legends of Warsaw’s Old Town, while the other will explore one of Poland’s most exquisite landmarks — the Royal Lazienki Park. The grand finale will feature a live concert in Lazienki, where accomplished Polish and international pianists will enchant the audience with performances of Chopin’s music in the open air.
Through this project, the company anticipates that approximately 100 IT specialists will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Warsaw’s rich history during the month of June alone.
